The Tirol Woman Cycling Team delivered an impressive race at the Erlauftal Cycling Days in Wieselburg as part of the Road Cycling League Austria. Representing the team were Belinda Holzer, Franziska Ehrenreich, Jennifer Pesendorfer, and Jana Meus.
From the very beginning, the race developed into an intense and highly selective contest. A technical, twisty opening section combined with an early climb immediately set a high pace in the peloton. The speed was relentless from the start, quickly splitting the field into several groups.
A decisive selection already took place in the first lap. Only a few riders were able to stay at the front as the race grew increasingly demanding. The leading group continued to shrink over the course of the race, until a decisive breakaway of five riders formed on the final lap at the feed zone climb.
Among them was Belinda Holzer, who had already stood out earlier with her aggressive racing style and strong presence in the intermediate sprints, securing the award for the most active rider of the day.
The race reached its climax in a hectic final sprint. After a tactical finale and a brief moment of hesitation within the lead group, Belinda Holzer seized the opportunity. With a powerful and impressive sprint, she broke away from her competitors and claimed victory.
This marks not only an outstanding success for the Tirol Woman Cycling Team, but also her first win in an Austrian national league race.
An all-around successful race day an weekend for the team, showcasing the strong form and fighting spirit of all riders.
